How it works

Measure, diagnose, one list, fix, measure again

Five steps that run for any site with Google Search Console connected and nothing else set up — answered one question at a time, including the two answers most SEO tools would rather not give you.

Measure where you actually rank

How does SearchLift connect to Google Search Console?

SearchLift connects to Google Search Console through Google's official OAuth, with read-only permission. It can read your impressions, clicks, average position, and the queries people actually used to find you — it cannot change anything inside your Google account. Credentials are encrypted at rest, revocable from Google at any time, and connecting takes about a minute.

02

Diagnose why, and put it in one list

How does SearchLift decide which pages to fix first?

SearchLift grades the pages it scans against your own Search Console queries rather than a generic keyword database, and names the specific reason each one underperforms. Then it puts every page into a single ordered list — not a dashboard of scores to interpret. Blockers first, then the pages one move from the front page.

The fix: your pages

What does SearchLift actually change on my website?

SearchLift rewrites page titles, meta descriptions, and opening content in your brand voice, using the search queries your pages already rank for. Every change is previewed as a before-and-after first, written to your CMS only after you confirm it, and logged with its old value so one click restores the original.

04

The fix: your links

How does SearchLift know which pages to link together?

SearchLift maps every internal link on your site and scores each page by the authority it can pass — clicks, query breadth, and average position from Search Console. It then suggests which of your strongest pages should link to which of your weakest, with the exact anchor text to use. On Pro and Agency, and where your platform allows it, they are placed for you.

Re-measure, and say so plainly

How do I know whether an SEO change actually worked?

SearchLift records each page's impressions, clicks, click-through rate, and average position before every change, then compares them run over run. Because search results take weeks to settle, it waits three weeks before reaching a verdict, then says plainly whether a change helped, hurt, or made no measurable difference at all.

Not a step — a commitment you make

What is a money page campaign?

A campaign is what you open in response to the list, not a stage of it. You pick one thing to win — a revenue page, a topic, or your listing on Google Maps — and those pages leave the ordered list and are worked together on their own screen: the supporting pages that should link in, the wording each link uses, and what is missing. One page, one place.
